Organizing Posts with Categories
Categories and tags within WordPress posts are useful tools that help organize content and make it easier for visitors to find related information. Categories are used to group posts by topic, and they can also include parent categories to better organize similar content. Creators can make as many categories as they need depending on how they want their website to be organized. Creating different categories for new topics helps keep the website neat and easy for visitors to navigate. (Król, 2019, p. 67).
Using Tags to Describe Content
Tags are used to identify the main topics or keywords of a post so visitors have a better idea of what the post is about. The creator decides how many tags to use, but they should match the information in the post. Overall, categories and tags help organize content, give posts more recognition, make it easier for visitors to find related posts, and can improve a website’s visibility in search engine optimization (SEO). My Website Organization Plan
How I am planning to use categories and tags for my website topic is by organizing different animation topics into categories, such as animation history, animation techniques, and movie analysis. I will also add tags for topics that are mentioned in each post for users who are interested in how animation has changed and taken a new step forward. Tags such as Spider-Verse, Spider-Man, Sony Animation, 2D animation, and 3D animation will serve as keywords for people looking for those topics. I also want to show how the Spider-Verse style created a shift in modern animation because of its unique visual style, which was eye-catching and appealing to audiences.
